Reviewing Work Capacity Decisions

Insurers can make work capacity decisions about an injured worker's capacity for work. This can include the type of work and number of hours the worker is capable of. These decisions also impact on a worker's entitlement to benefits if the assessment is that there is some capacity for work.

The WIRO procedural review process appears here.

If you are an injured worker and you are concerned about a work capacity decision click here. If you are ready to seek a procedural review from WIRO, a word version of the form can be found on the publications page. Applications for procedural review must use this approved form otherwise WIRO will not consider the application to be valid, pursuant to the Workers Compensation Act 1987.
